Uncle: Reader x Masrur

When Morgiana announced that she was pregnant with Alibaba’s first child, [y/n] was sure that Masrur was either going to faint or murder Alibaba. But he held back, instead stomping his way towards the garden behind Sinbad’s palace.

[Y/n] found him dozing in the sun a little while later, with toppled trees all around him. Sighing, she placed her hand against the ground, pouring her magic into the ground and repairing the clearing. She had an affinity with nature, and Sinbad often utilized her talent to fix the palace grounds. [Y/n] sat down cross-legged, and gently coaxed Masrur into laying in her lap.

“Ne, Masrur, is there something wrong with Alibaba and Mor-chan having a kid?” She asked quietly, stroking her fingers through his hair.

“No.” Masrur grunted.

“So why the slightly violent reaction?”

“Because it’s Alibaba.” Masrur said, by way of explanation.

“So it’s not because you’re gonna be an uncle?” Masrur shook his head, reddish eyes opening, peering into [y/n]’s [e/c] eyes. “It’s not because they’re going to have a kid?” He shook his head again, a little confused about the direction his fiance was heading in. “Good.”

~~~~~
Alibaba tearily named his child Kassim Saluja when he was born, six months later, nursing his broken hand. Masrur was almost ready to kill him for putting his dear Morgiana in such pain. Yamraiha had to cast a barrier around [y/n] and Alibaba as [y/n] healed his hand.
Kassim was handed to Morgiana, his fuzzy red hair proclaiming his half-Fanalis heritage. His lashes fluttered open to reveal his soft brown eyes brightly inquisitive, already wandering the room. He cooed happily as his eyes landed on Masrur, bypassing his dear papa. His arms waved gently, reaching towards his uncle. Masrur stiffened awkwardly and looked to [y/n] for help.
“Go on!” She smiled, giving her fiance a little push. He uncharacteristically stumbled forward, before ending up beside Morgiana. She gently lifted her child and placed him into Masrur’s corded arms. Masrur cradled him, large body definitely dwarfing the pint-sized Saluja. By a lot.
Kassim giggled, before reaching up and bopping Masrur in the chin. Startled, he nearly dropped his nephew, recovering only to place him in Morgiana’s arms and backing away slowly. [Y/n] hid a small smile behind her hand, squeezing Masrur’s arm gently when he stopped beside her.
“I’m never having kids.” Masrur muttered. [Y/n] was startled, [e/c] eyes widening a little, before turning away and heading to her friend’s new child. Masrur stared after her, a little confused.
~~~~~

[Y/n] and Masrur were married in a quiet ceremony, with only their closest friends and family present. Alibaba was stuck with holding baby Kassim as Morgiana tramped down the aisle behind [Y/n], beaming with pride as her best friend and almost-brother got married.

Sinbad teared up, wiping at his golden eyes when he asked them to recite their vows. He honest-to-goodness started crying when they kissed passionately, Masrur folding the smaller [y/n] into his body. “My dear, sweet [y/n] is goooonee forever! Goooone!” He wailed.

Hinahoho laughed heartily patting his King heavily on the back. “One less girl for you to hit on!” He howled, reveling in his King’s despair.

The whole kingdom turned out for the celebration on the streets, watching in fascination as the eternally graceful Morgiana swirled and swayed her hips to the beat of the drums, as beautiful in Sindria’s traditional dancing dress as she was when she’d first come to Sindria. [Y/n] laughed gleefully, pulled into the throng by Pisti and Yamraiha, joining them in the festive celebration.

It was well past midnight when Masrur and [Y/n] fell into bed, kissing and touching, stripping each other’s clothes off. Their wedding night was one filled with joy and passion, punctuated by the yet-to-be-known creation of a new life.

~~~~~
Masrur wasn’t sure when [y/n]’s scent starting smelling a little off. It was more musky than usual, even when he knew she was either ovulating or bleeding. He couldn’t put a finger on it, not until she started abstaining from heavy training sessions and replacing breakfast with worshipping a toilet. He wouldn’t confront her about it though. It was her choice whether or not to tell him.
“Ne, Masrur.” [Y/n]’s eyes blinked open, squinting slightly as the late noon sunlight slid through the wide leaves of the tree they were under. [Y/n]’s head was resting comfortably on Masrur’s legs, and he in turn was leaning against the tree’s roots.
“Hm?” He mumbled.
“I’m pregnant.” Well that was one way to do it. Masrur’s eyes blinked open, red clashing with [e/c].
“Oh.” He muttered quietly.
“You’re not angry?”
“Why’d I be angry?”
“Because of your reaction to being an uncle. I mean, you kinda did destroy the garden.” Masrur sighed.
“That was Alibaba’s fault.” [Y/n] laughed breathily.
“But still. You said you’d never have children.”
“Ah. Right. I...uh...well…” Masrur trailed off. “Um, I’m uncomfortable with being a father because I may hurt him.” All of it rushed out in a single breath.  [Y/n] blinked owlishly.
“That’s it? I thought it was because you hated kids.”
“No. That’s not true.”
“The last time you held Kassim was when he was born.”
“I might hurt him. I also worry about my own child. You know how ugly the world can be. I was a gladiator. I was almost killed. That was when I was a child.” Masrur stroked [y/n]’s hair absently. She closed her eyes.
“But it’s because of you that she’ll be more safe, right? I mean, big bad daddy’s here to protect us!” She hummed contentedly, placing a hand over her slightly rounded stomach.
“How do you know it’s a she?”
“Nature magic, dear. Nature magic.”
~~~~~

It was a good thing that [Y/n] wasn’t a Fanalis, or else Masrur’s hand would be cracked in ten different places right now.

“AGGGH!” She screamed, probably causing another earthquake somewhere in the world. Masrur winced on the inside. He was impassive as always on the outside, except for the tiny wrinkles in the corner of his eyes, showing his concern.

“One more!” Yamraiha exclaimed. “One more push!” [Y/n] screamed again, straining with all her might. A baby’s wail filled the room. “It’s a girl!”

From outside, Alibaba yelled in excitement. “I’m an uncle!” Followed by an “Ow! Mor!”

Masrur was stunned. The small wailing human being that [y/n] had just pushed out of herself was his daughter. His daughter. A small shock of [h/c] hair curled on the top of her head, and as she was handed to [y/n], her eyelashes fluttered open to reveal her bright red eyes.

“Aini. Your name will be Aini.”
This was requested on Quotev, but I've kinda been slacking, so I've barely updated or written in the past week.

Oh yeah the Irregular at Magic High is addicting.

And Masrur definitely needs more love.
